Introduction :
Definition:Photogrammetry is the art, science and technology of obtaining reliable about physical objects and the environment, through processes of recording, measuring and interpreting images on photographs. Photogrammetry surveying or Photogrammetry is the branch of surveying in which maps are prepared from photographs taken from air or ground station for various purposes such as construction of plainmetric and topographic maps, classification of soils, presentation of geology and preparation of composite pictures on the ground.Photogrammetry may be aerial or terrestrial.
Aerial Photogrammetry :
Aerial Photogrammetry is that branch branch of Photogrammetry in which photographs are taken by a camera mounted in an aircraft flying over the area. In aerial Photogrammetry, vertical photographs of the ground are taken with a camera fixed in an aircraft flying along predetermined parallel flight planes.
Terrestrial Photogrammetry :
Terrestrial Photogrammetry is that branch of Photogrammetry in which photographs are taken from fixed position on or near the ground .It is almost similar to plane tabling.
