Introduction
Structural analysis :
Structural analysis is the determination of the effect of load on physical structure and their components. It is also the computation of deformation, deflection and internal forces or stress within structure for the evaluation of existing structure.Basic approaches of structural analysis :
The two basic approaches of structural analysis are follows:
(1)Force method:This method is one of the basic methods of analysis of structure. This method consists of removing unnecessary enough restraints from the indeterminate structure to make it statically determinate. This stable determinate structure is referred as primary structure. The excess removed restraints are called redundant restraints and the reaction or internal forces associated with these restraints are called redundant. The redundant are then applied as unknown loads on the primary (I. e. Released )structure and their values are determined by solving the compatibility equation based in the condition that the deformation of the primary structure due to the combined effect of the redundant and the given loading must be sames as the deformation of the original indeterminate structure. Since the independent or unknown are the redundant force which needs to be determined.
(2)Displacement method
